Car Insurance Policyholders Update
Applicable to AA Car Insurance policies taken out on or after 1st October 2018 only.
As part of our combined product offering you have a Driver's Accident Protection Plan and Drivers Legal Protection plan with your AA Car Insurance currently underwritten by AmTrust Europe Limited.
We wish to inform you that from the 1st of August 2020, it is intended that these policies will be underwritten by AmTrust International Underwriters dac (AIU).
What will change?
This will not affect your AA Car Insurance and there will be no change to the benefits of your Drivers Legal Protection Plan or your Drivers Accident Protection Plan, so your level of cover remains the same.
What do I need to do?
You do not need to do anything; we will continue to issue the Drivers Legal Protection Plan and Drivers Accident Protection Plan as part of your AA Car Insurance policy.

Membership Policyholders Update
Applicable to AA Membership policies taken out on or after 1st January 2019 only.
If you have Rescue Plus cover as part of your AA Membership, the car hire, travel expenses and overnight accommodation elements of your Rescue Plus policy are currently underwritten by Amtrust Europe Limited.
We wish to inform you that from the 1st of July 2020, these elements of your Rescue Plus policies will be underwritten by AmTrust International Underwriters dac (AIU).
What will change?
This will not affect your AA Membership and there will be no change to the benefits of your Rescue Plus policy so your level of cover remains the same.
What do I need to do?
You do not need to do anything; we will continue to your Rescue Plus policy.
